Following on from last week’s blog on our mini road-trip, we arrived early evening in Slovenia for the first night of our trip, to the magnificent Lake Bled.
We were greeted by very daunting looking storm clouds, but having driven for six hours to get here, nothing was going to stop us from having a walk around the lake. And we managed to stay dry for almost two hours before the heavy rain came crashing down.
The next morning we woke up to blue skies, so we decided to take the opportunity to make the short hike up to the viewing point Ojstrica above the west shore of the lake.
Only a 30 minute hike and we were spoiled with stunning views of the lake and the town Bled, blanketed in the glowing early morning sunlight.
Sadly, we had to leave this stunning place and press on with the next stage of our road trip, heaving across the border to Croatia.
